My daughter was 9 years old and still in pullups which she wet most nights. For her own self esteem I decided it was time to see what I could do to help her, this problem was not going away. I came across Bedwetting Therapee on the Internet and read the reviews, one of the things that appealed to me was that we could do it on line from our house. We live some distance from town and a lot further from any specialists, in the central north island of New Zealand.
We started the program with excitement, hoping that this would be our solution, the first session we watched got us more excited. The first 2 weeks were challenging with much washing, feeling a little disappointed we watched the second session which pointed the changes and actual improvement from the first week to the second, which I had not recognized at all. We were then given the next steps. Week 3 was better and then the improvement was amazing. It has been 3 1/2 months and my daughter does not wet the bed anymore. Our son struggled with bedwetting at night. We tried everything to help him (all the things they mention in the video NOT to do, we did!) His doctors said he’d likely outgrow it, but that was not happening. They mentioned a medication that he could try, but that did not sit right with us, so we chose not to go that route. Boy am I glad that I did! Within two-three weeks, our son stopped wetting the bed completely. The tracking program was motivating for him – he loved adding the stars and tracking progress. This is truly so simple, and also a miracle. He feels confident and proud, and we’re so glad that he has freedom. If your child is struggling with this, do not hesitate. IT WORKS AND FAST!

I can’t even begin to tell you how happy we were with this program. Our 12-year-old son struggled with soaking his bed and good nights pants every night even more than once sometimes. We tried restricting fluids, getting him up at night to pee and were frustrated and he was too. It impacted his self-esteem as he was so embarrassed by it and we really were ready to try anything. We got the device and set up the program and watched the video with our son. That was a great start as it got us all on the same page, and my son really liked the letters from other kids. it made him feel less alone in this. The first 2 weeks were rough. the alarm would go off and wake everyone in the house except my son, so I would have to wake him and walk him to the bathroom and clean up the bed, etc. To be honest I was a little discouraged and tired those first 2 weeks as he had I think a wet night every night and didn’t wake up. But in week 3 we started to see things improve the number of dry nights began to increase exponentially, and he started to hear the alarm at night, then he woke up on his own. We followed the instructions he was given and we faithfully used the program and pad daily. By week 4-5 he was dry about 90% of the time and we completed the program by week 12 and he has not had an accident even once. The daily charts and review from the doctor were very motivational for my son, he was really proud of himself. This was the best money we ever spent, The only regret is not trying it sooner. The main thing I would tell anyone trying this is to stick with it. It works!

Therapee is an excellent system.  I work in mental health and it is much more engaging than many of the psychological only tools that we use.  Well done!
