Dr. Sagie's Method

Developed by Dr. Jacob Sagie, Ph.D., founder of the Enuresis Clinic at Schneider Children's Medical Center (SCMCI), and Dr. Tal Sagie, Ph.D., bedwetting specialists with over 40 years of clinical practice.

91.8% in the Clinic

In the SCMCI clinic report, 91.8% of the 2,308 patients who completed treatment stopped wetting. TheraPee is built on that treatment model. Most children become dry within 12 to 20 weeks. See the report.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your most common questions about the TheraPee system.

TheraPee combines an advanced bedwetting alarm with interactive online software. The StoPee™ alarm alerts the child upon the very first sign of moisture, while the software provides a personalized, step-by-step treatment program devised by Dr. Sagie, simulating a private clinic visit.

The TheraPee online program is for ages 4 to 18. The interactive software adapts its content and approach to each age, for younger children and older teens alike. Adults 18 and over: Dr. Sagie offers personal treatment by video call. Contact us for details at support@bedwettingtherapy.com.

Most children achieve complete dryness within 12 to 20 weeks of consistent use. However, every child is different. The interactive software tracks progress and adjusts the program accordingly, providing personalized guidance throughout the entire treatment journey.

Unlike standard bedwetting alarms, TheraPee is a complete treatment program. It combines the StoPee™ alarm with interactive online software developed by Dr. Jacob Sagie, Ph.D., and Dr. Tal Sagie, Ph.D., bedwetting specialists with over 40 years of clinical practice. It is built on the treatment model that reached 91.8% success in the clinic among patients who completed treatment (clinic report).

Bedwetting in most cases stems from deep sleep. Many parents report that everyone in the house woke up to the alarm except the wet child. In the clinic report, 97.5% of 2,308 patients were described by their parents as very heavy sleepers. Despite this, children responded positively to the comprehensive treatment. A common misconception is that the alarm's purpose is to teach the child to wake up at night. This is not true. The purpose is to condition the reflex system, which works subconsciously. The child learns to connect involuntary urination to the alarm response. When the child does not wake to the alarm, parents are guided through essential activities vital for the learning process. Used alone, a bedwetting alarm helps about two in three children become dry while it is in use, but many relapse after stopping, and only about half stay dry after treatment ends (Cochrane review). Results improve when the alarm is part of guided behavioral treatment: an audit of 2,861 children treated with a practitioner-assisted alarm reported 76% success and 23% relapse (Journal of Pediatrics, 2018), and one clinic study found 78% of children dry with a multimodal approach versus 51% with the alarm alone (2009 study). In Dr. Sagie's clinical experience, a child who has already failed with a self-guided alarm comes to structured treatment more skeptical, and part of the alarm's conditioning effect is already worn out. His clinical recommendation is that treatment with an alarm alone should not last more than five to six months.

Yes. The TheraPee interactive software is a web-based application, which means it works on any computer or tablet with a modern web browser. No downloads or installations are required.
